Sasakawa USA selected a delegation of eight U.S. WPS experts from government, civil society, and academia to participate in the program. The delegation traveled to Tokyo, Japan for a week-long study tour to exchange perspectives on the WPS agenda in Japan and the U.S. Throughout the tour, the delegates engaged with Japanese experts and practitioners from the Diet, academia, think tanks, media, government ministries, and civil society. Activities from the trip included meetings with members of Japan’s parliamentary network on WPS and meetings with the Japan Ministry of Defense and Japan Self-Defense Forces. Our Secure Future was honored to be in attendance and provide a U.S. perspective on the WPS agenda and WPS Caucus model.
